No. The chairs are supported by a steel frame that is bolted to the floor. They are completely self-supporting and are not attached to the counters or cabinets. Although on new construction projects the bar frame can be concealed within the cabinetry.

We have many styles of wood chairs in stock which can be viewed in our photo gallery. We carry wooden chairs in oak, maple, alder, and pine. We also have metal chairs with wood or upholstered seats.

The metal chairs are not kept in inventory and are generally drop shipped directly to your address from the chair manufacturer.

The wooden chairs are sold unfinished. Most customers prefer to have them stained locally to match or accent their kitchen cabinets. For an additional charge, we do offer some staining options. Please contact customer service for options on upholstered chairs.

To determine the number of Suspend-It Seating Bar Stools that will fit at your counter, simply measure your counter length.

24" counter space per chair for standard size chairs.

Chairs next to a wall add 6".

Chairs on 45 degree corners add 2" to 4".

Smaller chairs (stool tops) require 2" less space per chair.

You may subtract 2" to 4" for a chair positioned at the open end of a counter.

Yes, standard foot Suspend-It Bar Frames can be retro-fit into your existing kitchen. The bar frames are custom made to fit your existing cabinetry and counter top and are designed to simply slide into position and bolt to the floor.

The Suspend-It Seating Bar Frames are custom built to your specifications and will fit under your counter top. Because they are custom made, almost any height of counter top can be accommodated.

No. Suspend-It seating is simple and straightforward to install. You will be provided with detailed instructions with diagrams and explanations. Basically, the frames are positioned under the counters and bolted to the floor, a foot box is assembled around and over the frame work of the bar frame. After the bar frames are properly installed, simply attach the chair pivots to the arms, and then attach the chairs to the pivots.

Yes, The foot box is built to cover the support feet of a standard foot bar frame. The foot box also provides a place for the chair occupants to rest their feet.

A foot box is not necessary with an inverted foot bar frame. When using the inverted foot bar frame, the support feet are installed under the cabinet box. However; an inverted foot bar frame can only be used in new construction, or in remodels where the cabinets will be removed and then be replaced.

When an inverted foot bar frame is used a foot rail (not supplied by Suspend-It) of some sort is recommended for resting your feet on while seated in the Suspend-It Seating Bar Stools.
